Become a local tourist with the #PassGoQatar Monopoly Challenge

Qatar Museums (QM) has launched a new engaging social media competition that encourages you to visit cultural destinations, public art locations, and heritage sites – to get out and explore more of Qatar. The #PassGoQatar Monopoly Challenge, which runs from 27 January to 17 February 2021, invites residents to visit destinations that feature on the Qatar Museums Monopoly board game. The competition aims to inspire participants to make new cultural discoveries, unite the community in a playful challenge, and offer an opportunity to win a host of prizes related to Qatar Museums and their venues.

The #PassGoQatar Monopoly Challenge invites you to discover Qatar’s past, present, and future. Featured destinations include Richard Serra’s East-West/West-East, Louise Bougreois’ Maman at Qatar National Convention Centre, Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Palace, Museum of Islamic Art, Al-Rekayat Fort, and the UNESCO world heritage site, Al Zubarah.

Participants will compete for a host of prizes, including the chance to win a VIP exhibition experience and dinner for two at one of QMs’ flagship restaurants: IDAM by Alain Ducasse. Other prizes include dinner for four people at Jiwan restaurant at the National Museum of Qatar, gift vouchers, and a host of limited-edition Qatar Museums’ branded merchandise. To take part in the competition, please visit the Qatar Museums’ Instagram page (@qatar_museums) and IN-Q Gift Shop Instagram page (inq_giftshop), which lists details of how to enter and prize categories.

“The Qatar Museums edition of the Monopoly board game is a popular gift item, which displays many of Qatar’s treasured cultural destinations, public art and heritage sites. The board game enables Qatar Museums to take the learning experience beyond the walls of our venues and the #PassGoQatar Monopoly Challenge aims to inspire residents and visitors to explore more of Qatar’s distinct landscape, visit historic buildings and enjoy the country’s passion for art and culture.”

Phil Lawrie, General Manager of IN-Q Enterprises
