What to expect when the Metro is back on track

Now that Phase 3 is about to finish, we are all excited to see Phase 4 coming, and with it, Doha Metro being back on track.

So you have enough balance in your Metro Card, your sneakers are dusted off and your step-counting app is excited as much as you are to see those numbers soaring again. What else should you do?

As a standard procedure, you are expected to have a mask on, a pair of gloves (keep a spare with you), and it’s always a good idea to have a small hand sanitizer in your bag.

Most importantly, you should also have Ehteraz App, ready with you and if you haven’t installed it yet (seriously?!) click here to get it for IOS and Android, so nothing you’re not familiar with by now.

Reluctant to use the metro?

Qatar Rail the operator of Doha Metro and Lusail Tram is already taking measures to help people maintain social distancing in a clean and healthy environment for all commuters and metro lovers. Here are the recent posts on their Official Instagram Channel (these folks have been quite busy).

Until then, please keep yourself safe so we can see you on September 1st.

About the author

A Doha resident for the past 12 years. I've seen this city grow, and I am proud that I took part in it.

Doha Metro was the biggest thing that ever happened in here and I was super excited about it. I Deeply and genuinely believe that the Metro is a culture-changing factor, and way more than point A to point B medium.

- Practice what you preach - I use the metro on a daily basis!
